Tales of a navigator

This work belongs to the series “Still life in contemporary style – Would you drink some tea?”.

It is not simply a still life, but rather a unique moment that hovers over the screen, and remains there with its books, instruments and musical scores - elements orchestrating a story that takes place in that singular moment.
It is the observer who deciphers the story contained in the silence of the work's images...

On the creation of this work:

This work was born from a sketch on paper and pastel, after the artist admired a work by Pablo Picasso, “The Guitar”. Along with the musical instrument, the beloved books naturally appeared... An abstract green took over the background, starring the garden and a magic carpet made time completely lose its meaning... Important characters also appear in the composition... The work "Would you drink some tea?" was then created. After receiving a gold medal and many trips to exhibitions throughout Brazil, the artist enters a new phase. Driven by curiosity and the discoveries made with the resources of technology, she decided to subject the work to yet another process, this time on her computer – another work was created. Gray appeared... and the contrast with the orange tone in the background enchanted the artist's eyes. Something masculine emerged, bringing a different approach. After many layers of subsequent work with pigments on the image, the need for collage arises which, as expected, tells a story and another enigmatic character emerges. The musical instrument is the main character of the composition, but, as always, it is it and its music that evoke the dreams and stories of this and many other universes...
